Weddings
by the Sound was founded by Elsie Dillard in 1999. Elsie and her
friends used to spend many evenings on her deck gazing across Puget
Sound at the beautiful and romantic sunsets over the Olympic
Mountains of Washington state. The views can be truly breathtaking,
and Elsie decided that others should be able to view this wonderful
vista also. She immediately thought of the couples that may be
contemplating marriage. And what better location for a romantic and
intimate wedding with this wonderful backdrop - day or night. And
Weddings by the Sound was born.
Elsie Dillard
Elsie Dillard is well known throughout the travel
world as one of the pioneers in bringing the traditional British bed
& breakfast institution to the U.S.A. With Elsie at the helm, her
former company, Elsie from England, has arranged thousands of travel
packages to Britain and Ireland for people that wanted to sample the
British bed & breakfast way of life. This type of travel took a
lot of coordination and Elsie's skills and talents in this field
made it look so easy. Easy it was not, however, and Elsie's
commitment to customer service and going the extra mile often made
her the number one choice for people wishing to travel to Britain
and Ireland from all areas of the U.S.A.

and talents to operating Weddings by the Sound - a truly romantic

Shuryl Potter - Wedding Coordinator

are as equally committed as Elsie. One such person is the Weddings
by the Sound coordinator, Shuryl Potter. Once a wedding has been
booked, Shuryl springs into action and coordinates the whole wedding
show for you. She takes care of all the little details, including
some you might have forgotten about in your excitement of the big
day. Shuryl attends to all your needs and takes care of any little
problems that arise to ensure that you don't have to. She is
in contact with you all the way through the planning stage to ensure
that your big day will be one of the most memorable in your life. We

Stevens is our second minister. She deputizes for the Reverend
Donovan Potter in his absence, and also undertakes other supporting
duties as necessary
